OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
The enclosed ADI printer driver SKFUJI36.COM has been developed
for FUJITSU 24-wire printers of the DL series in DPL24C PLUS
emulation with a maximum resolution of 360 * 360 dots per inch.
ADI provides the same functionality and performance as the
standard device drivers used for AutoCAD and AutoSketch.
As opposed to other common AutoCAD drivers the ADI drivers
have to be loaded before starting AutoSketch.
They are residing in the main memory.
1. Printer Installation
Before starting with the printing set the printer to the following
values:
EMULATE: DPL24C PLUS for 8-color printers
COLOR: AUTOSEL (only for 8-color printers)
LF-Code: LF only
CR-Code: CR only
2. Driver Installation
Copy the driver via the following command onto your harddisk:
COPY A:SKFUJI36.COM C: for AutoSketch
3. Usage of the Driver with AutoSketch
You can only use an ADI printer driver if you have an AutoSketch
version of 1.04 or higher. If the output of the data is not
leaded directly to the printer but at first to a file,
AutoSketch will not enable the information of the file name.
Therefore, exists a driver only for AutoSketch which will
determine the name to "OUTPUT.LST" if there is an output to a file.
Before starting AutoSketch you first have to load the driver
SKFUJIE.COM or SKFUJI36.COM for FUJITSU 24 pin dot matrix
printers, which are using the DPL 24C PLUS command set.
Proceed according to the following syntax:
C:\SKETCH>SKFUJI36 /M - monochrome printout
C:\SKETCH>SKFUJI36 /C - color printout
C:\SKETCH>SKFUJI36 /F - output into a file
Filename: OUTPUT.LST
You have to enter SKFUJI36, if you want to delete the
residentially loaded driver from your main memory.
If the driver is to be loaded automatically then
SKFUJI36.COM has to be entered together with the right
parameter in the AUTOEXEC.BAT batch file.
The program must be configured, if ADI is used for the
first time together with AutoSketch. While starting
AutoSketch you have to specify the parameter "-R":
C:\SKETCH>SKETCH -R
Now, determine the input device and the monitor in accordance
with your hardware configuration. By selecting the
plotter/printer select option 3:
AUTODESK DEVICE INTERFACE PRINTER
If this option does not appear in the AutoSketch configuration,
you probably have an old AutoSketch version. In this case
please contact your dealer.
Programming Text Your Choise
__________________________________________________________________
Hexadecimal interrupt number 7bh
Specify plot size in millimeter: <N> RETURN
Maximum horizontal (X) plot size in inches <11.0> 13.599
Dots per inch in horizontal (X) direction <100.0> 360
Maximum vertical (Y) plot size in inches <8.50> 12
Dots per inch in vertical (Y) direction <360.0> 180

When the following text appears:
DOES THE PRINTER SUPPORT COLOR <N>
enter <Y> if your printer supports color and the driver with the
parameter /C for color was selected. Otherwise select <N>.
4.1 Color Allocation with AutoSketch
AutoSketch supports 7 colors: red, yellow, green, cyan, blue,
magenta and black. In order to be able to use these colors
you have to determine them in the menu item pin information
as follows:
Color Pinallocation
_________________________________
Red 1
Yellow 2
Green 3
Cyan 5
Blue 4
Magenta 6
Black 7
_________________________________
In case of blue the printer will use orange, because the color
blue is not supported by the printer. If you do not want to do
so, you can also select pin No. 5 (cyan). Then blue appears in
the same color as cyan and now you have only 6 colors at your
disposal.
5. General Hints for Usage
Due to the limited capacity of the main memory the color printers
can only be selected with 8 pins. This cannot be changed because
of programming reasons.
We hope you understand our situation. The result is a slower
printout than in the case of a white-and-black printout, but
the print quality is the same.
If you should have any problems with the configuration or the
work with AutoCAD respectively AutoSketch under the ADI-driver,
please call the hotline of your country specific subsidiary
of Autodesk or FUJITSU.
We hope that these operation instructions will help you and
hope you enjoy working with AutoSketch and your Fujitsu printer.
